They did the eyesore and now they complain no one wants to see it. I also was invited to watch Digger but I declined because it’s truly painful to watch: Tom Cruise is ugly, uselessly ugly: there’s no reason he couldn’t play a 60 year old Oil Company Boss with his real face and body, perhaps you know, with his real face and the Texas hat he would be too sexy and would attach emotionally people and women to the character they were supposed to loathe… to the oil company boss.
But… all the movie, all the scenes are ugly, and voluntarily so: it’s all washed up of the real colours and added grey like dust covering a beautiful wooden table, see photos, see movie trailer:
Moreover – SPOILER – SPOLIER – SPOILER – AT THE END of the movie, surprise surpise, since it was just a rehearsal and a theatre comedy, when the spectators who hated the oil companies so much and think themselves as good ecologists go out of the theatre they find a city wrecked by bombing and invaded-dominated by terrible AI Terminator Killers.
So, it’s not bad as a concept, but it is ugly as a fact.
You don’t make money like this: I also won’t watch the movie and I liked the plot.
It’s really… you don’t go to suffer to the Cinema, that’s it: Cinema is not a duty, it’s a pleasure.
If you want to make a lot of money you must give a bit of eye candies to attract people to pay 8 dollars and stay there 2 hours, or to give a funny thrill like Resident Evil that’s doing very well at the Box Office, no eye candy perhaps but a bit of fully thrill and exciting scenes, you must make it attractive, appealing.
I have to say, I’m not such a wild ecologist as to wish to do without oil and I personally like EXXON and wanted to do the Exxon Cinema Media Project precisely to make movies based on the same issue of Digger but much more appealing, like showing the necessity to keep the gasoline fuelled cars and not end up in a drone car AI-remote-piloted so, I thought about these things, these same issues this movie talks about but not in Digger’s terms, but yes, Inarritu and Warner Bros (now Paramount from today: Digger is their last flop, right?) the movie is ugly. It’s unsellable, it’s like a mouldy candy. IT really almost looks covered in dust, covered in mould.
What a Pity: a Lost Occasion.
Kate Middleton patronising this doesn’t save it.

There should be more of the same stuff on Cinema but: 1) more beautiful, not Soap Opera like glossy, but also not this ugly, I can’t stand them when they exaggerate the colours like Disney or Harry Potter and when they diminish the colours like this movie here, and 2 it should be balanced and honest showing the danger and fear of AI takeover and AI Data Center Pollution and the sins but also the virtues of the oil companies, if it’s fun it’s better, much better.
This one you can shelve it.
You did it on purpose to make it ugly, I mean… what a pity.
