Meloni’s new electoral law won’t be called Melonellum, it will be called “Abracadabra.” The Government’s members can’t agree on it because they want too many things and they want them regardless of the vote of the Italians, they’ve postponed the vote on the new electoral law to July 14th because they don’t know what else to do.
Marina Berlusconi has vetoed Vannacci. Without Vannacci, they’ll lose. With Vannacci, they should win comfortably, or at least win. Without Marina Berlusconi, there’s no money or extra free election advertising on Mediaset and Il Giornale. But the polls say Vannacci makes the difference and that Italians don’t give a damn about Marina Berlusconi. Even The Telegraph suggested Meloni keep Vannacci in the center-right coalition, but… Marina matters. The Countess of Malombra gives orders, haughtily, arrogantly, and not particularly capable, after all. I’m convinced she’ll make them lose, and in any case, the little electoral test in Vigevano suggests the General’s votes could be much higher at the ballot box than in the polls. If he got 14% in Vigevano… well, it seems strange to me that he’ll do less in the general election, but there’s no reason to believe the polls are fake, or if there are real polls and we have fake ones, Meloni will have the real ones. And Marina, too. Or not?
So what’s the problem? Why not keep the current electoral law that make them win after all? Because of greed. Because Meloni wants to be sent to the Quirinale as President of the Republic by her own people without the opposition to have any say on it and therefore wants a super majority bonus that would give her 60%-65% of Parliament with a paltry 42% of the vote. It’s already a lot that she has 50% of the seats with 44% of the vote now, but she wants to steal more. The Melonis are a family of thieves, drug dealers, and criminals with ties to the Senese Clan and Delmastro. Clear? She has no conscience, only personal interests.
Her majority prize (super prize) is a theft, but she thieves, steals, continues, lies. Vannacci tries to keep happy the maid who killed her mistress and put on the mistress’s dress, like the servants sent to the Opera to greet Empress Sissi dressed in the clothes of the Noble Masters in the movie “Sissi: Destiny of an Empress” and now Meloni is not sated. She wants to be the Empress herself, being a Noblewoman is not enough for her. And Vannacci would accept even to send her to the Quirinale to stay in, but someone else won’t, ergo, they’re gonna lose. The dog will run away from them with leash and all.
And if they lose with the new proposed law that gives away seats without votes, the super-majority bonus risks going to Schlein, who will send a Left-wing Extremist to the Quirinale as president of the Republic (This Republic). But Meloni isn’t giving in, her orders are: no Vannacci, save Salvini even if he loses the votes. That genius Marina Berlusconi isn’t giving in on her side. She’ll postpone everything until July 14th, and there’s no electoral test between now and the next elections, because the Mayor of Milan, a huge electoral test, will be elected at the same time as the general election. Instead, they could elect the Mayor of Milan first to see what Vannacci does in Milan and then adapt and write the Electoral Law based on Milan’s data (a bit like Burnham in the UK with Manchester’s test). I doubt Vannacci will stop at 6%; that’s not the trend; the rest, what Meloni wants to do is Abracadabra.
If my opinion is of interest to those of the Italian CDX, I don’t think Marina Berlusconi will have any problem getting the Centre-Left elected. Given the hard veto on Vannacci, she doesn’t seem very worried about the eventuality.
