The Senate has approved the new electoral law, known as the “Stabilicum”; the text must now return to the Chamber of Deputies to receive the green light there as well. Here is what changes compared to the current rules.

If anyone can manage to collect all the signatures needed to get on the ballot, it is Futuro Nazionale; boasting 150,000 members—each of whom needs to provide his own plus just two additional signatures—it can reach the 450,000 mark (150,000 x 3 = 450,000) via non-digital, offline means.
It is almost impossible for either Di Battista—who, btw, is still in the hospital—or Rizzo to gather enough signatures without the support of the Internet; however, things will go badly for Meloni. As for the Left’s primaries, Repubblica says Schlein will win—the least appealing of the two, least centrist candidate; she too is a little, slobbering lesbian devoted to arming Kyiv. And just look at her: three passports (including a Swiss one), Jewish, and a lesbian living with a partner—is she the one they want to pit against General Vannacci? The new law entails designating the Prime Minister alongside a massive majority bonus; the choice will simply be:

Vannacci for Premier
Schlein for Premier
Vannacci wins; I’ll vote for him and then run away.

Amidst all this, Mattarella, the President of the Republic—usually very active when it comes to bashing Russia or drawing the unquestionable line of Atlanticism, NATO, and Von der Leyen’s agenda (especially regarding rearmament)—remains silent. And it is a heavy silence. A deafening silence! Under the electoral law, they have decided that any new party wishing to run in elections must collect over 450,000 signatures. That is an impossible figure for anyone to achieve.
Moreover, these signatures must be collected within just a few weeks and without the option of digital signing. This means that the very same parties currently in the Italian Parliament will remain there indefinitely. It means no new party will be able to stand for election. Nowhere else in the world is such an industrial-scale number of signatures required. Yet, there is no talk of this disgrace, even though it ought to be at the heart of public debate. Even those who endlessly harp on about Western democracy don’t say a word. If they eliminate the possibility for dissent to participate and compete at the ballot box, they shouldn’t be surprised if, in a few years, the halls of power have to face uprisings. Because that is the path they are paving! Giuseppe Salamone
