They’ve already killed Haider with the brake tampering, with the old speed system that stops the brake from working after reaching a certain speed, now it’s easier: all cars registered in the EU from July 7, 2026 will have the brakes under AI control and will brake on their own against the pilot/driver’s will if the sensor and the AI deem it necessary (source byoblu). The drivers can’t deactivate the device and brake or speed up as they wish. Besides, what happens if the cars behind don’t brake? It causes rear-end collisions.
But I suspect worse: what Politician, what Party Leader, what FBI Director would ever actually get into a car with AI-controlled brakes? And who knows who’s behind the AI? And even if there’s no one behind the AI—not Amodei, not Elon Musk, not Netanyahu—and it seems strange to me that these people would let the AI do whatever it wants if they actually have some political enemy to eliminate—it’s still dangerous, because there’s a mechanism whereby if you want to leave and run away from a place, the car stops and you can’t do anything about it. Think about me, if I’m alone, maybe at a gas station at night, and I see some shady guys approaching and I want to run away, and the car is blocked by the AI… I can’t control it anymore, I can’t decide anymore, I don’t trust this thing. Please, let’s leave the EU (I’m Italian ed notes). DSP – an anti-EU Party – is almost lost, and Vannacci the new “Far-Right” Leader must speak out against these things. But even though he holds so many rallies and meetings and you could ask him anything, you know that in Genoa they’re criticizing him for the old Fascism/Anti-Fascism thing while the EU is passing all these AI Laws? I’m scared because it could be that this idiotic “anti-fascism” of the Democratic Party is just a facade to keep people from focusing on these new laws coming from the EU or on the fact that Meloni gave INPS money to BlackRock. Don’t the anti-fascists dispute this?
If you’re against dictatorship, do you accept the machine that stops on its own? And why don’t they talk about this with Vannacci, who is a relatively young politician (young for being a politician) and active, always coming and going, leaving, responding, organizing meetings with everyone? These anti-fascists are a bit shadily “old-timers” considering they’re 25 or 30 years old they’re always focussed on AD 1946… they would be passatists even if they were 48 or 60. Are they for real or are they just pretending?

Starting July 7, 2026, every car or van that receives a license plate for the first time in a European Union Country must be equipped with a series of advanced safety systems, regardless of when the model was designed or approved. This is the final step in the General Vehicle Safety Regulation adopted by the EU in 2019, which marks a crucial step: not just new models approved by the authorities, but every single new registration.
Anyone who buys a new car today—even if it’s a model that’s been on the market for years—is taking home a vehicle that comes standard with these technologies, by law.
What every new car must have from now on
The most significant changes concern four main areas:
Automatic emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection. This isn’t just an acoustic warning: the system uses radar, cameras, and sensors to identify people or bicycles in front of the vehicle. If the driver doesn’t react in time, it automatically intervenes to brake or reduce speed.
Advanced anti-distraction system. A device constantly monitors the driver’s attention level—via the internal camera, the steering wheel position, and the vehicle’s trajectory—and signals lapses in concentration or signs of fatigue, prompting the driver to take a break.
Emergency Stop Light (ESS). When the vehicle exceeds 50 km/h and undergoes sudden deceleration, the rear lights begin to flash rapidly to warn those behind. The human brain perceives an intermittent signal much sooner than a steady one: this gain in reaction time can translate into approximately 4.5 meters of reduced space before impact.
Passive design modifications. New cars must ensure improved forward visibility—fewer blind spots in front of the driver, which are particularly significant in cities—and a larger safety glass surface, designed to reduce pedestrian injuries in the event of a collision. Tests for worn tires have also been updated.
