Yesterday I went watching RESIDENT EVIL By Zach Cregger and… I didn’t expect it was like this, I watched it because it was the movie on offer, everything got smooth to go and watch it: the company, the hour, the drive ride, I mean… I wanted to already get an agreement on a childish movie as The Avengers and the dangerously up-to-date THE SOCIAL RECKONING But instead it was “I’ll go and watch RESIDENT EVIL if you want to come” which offer I replied “Yes” to.
I didn’t expect I could find the most anti-abortion movie ever thinkable, ok it’s going to be spoilers from this moment on, if you want to drop the reading and come back after you watch it or maybe you have already watched it; it was like this, no priests or pastors talking about the sanctity of life and preciously womb kept new human and against trivialization of sex of the corrupted modern times, it was much shorter and direct, no religion, but it was worse than the religious warning since the absence of anything like a loving God ready to forgive you anyway, much more “scantily clad of beautiful philosophies” much harder if you want to convince someone NOT to have an abortion: the protagonist is hunted & haunted by infected monstrous creatures that look a lot like those horrible images of aborted foetuses particularly when they are gathered together to be thrown away with bloody cut legs and limps and some shaped/half shaped viscous organs, and… those monsters want to catch the portagonist Bryan and cut him in pieces like the foetus during the practice of abortion, and… it all starts all of a sudden AFTER the male protagonist, said Bryan, who sees himself as a “good guy after all” made his living-in partner Michelle whether girlfriend or wife, but the Internet wikipedia plot says girlfriend, well he makes her understand that he would like her to interrupt the pregnancy because their relationhsip is perfect the way it is so why change? He also uses the frozen saying, the classic wording of the feminists and pro-choice Club “The body is yours, you have to choose” like this: modern, frozen, respectful but… when the girlfriend insists on a clearer position he makes her understand he doesn’t want it, he wants to go on having a girlfriend and no children, the girlfriend Michelle then informs him she’s going to part for some time and go and live with a female friend of hers for a while.
The modern normality stops there, the frozen wording “your body your choice” the perfect answer for the modern liberal guy who thinks himself a good guy after all, well this dimension of modern normality as I told you stops there, all of a sudden, a zombie woman hits Bryan’s car and he steps out and tries to save her, but she is much stronger than supposed to be and instead… she tries to kill him, from that moment on he meets zombies, monstrous people or people who look normal, are normal, perhaps wicked not good but sane and all of a sudden get infected of a new biolab’s escaped virus (sic – Resident Evil’s original Japanese title means in fact Biohazard) ) and transform themselves into viscous bleeding strangely shaped monsters that do look like those discharged newly aborted foetuses with the legs cut mixed with others, eyes and legs and bloody bleeding organs, we all know that abortion particulalry in the last trimester if not earlier really looks like this because the organs of the foetus are already developed though tiny, small, and … these monsters thus shaped they want to do to him the same.
Moreover Bryan is a medical courier who has to deliver organs to the hospitals “to save lives” and even says “I love children” and in one of the last scenes he enters an infected hospital maternity room with cradles of bloody monstrous babies or monstrous foetuses that spit blood on him and threaten him. In the end…
Well, very much “Resident EVIL” it looks like a nightmare of a man who feels guilty of having told his girlfriend he would prefer her to have an abortion.
But there’s no religion, there’s no priest or pastor, there’s the pure nightmare, unescapable, without answers nor questions anymore, a KARMA: you’ll undergo the same treatment of the aborted baby, resounding Ronald Reagan’s sentence “All the people who support abortion have the charcateristic of being already born”.
There’s no Jesus, there’s automatic hell. Instant karma.
I think the ultra-liberals who are ultra-winning in California have to understand why abortion was decriminalised as minor evil, it is intrinsically a bad thing that might be the lesser evil, instead they make it pompous, easier, people who have abortions or perform abortions have a lot of nightmares, the same ghost-nightmare, demon-nightmares of the movie maybe, so much that some Top Pro-Lifers are ex hardcore Pro-Choicers, have worked in abortion clinics and say “If it had been illegal I wouldn’t have done it, I did it because it was legal and I thought it was nothing bad”.
Nightmares, feelings of being haunted, demonic visions, or presences are recounted as experience they have in abortion clinics. This is very similar to the situation in this movie, the biohazard, the resident evil.
Should we ban abortion? To ban abortion altogether brings the people back to the fifties, it is dangerous the other way round, a woman can also decide whether to go to hell if other people want to force her being a saint, or not, so the doctor if he believes it, I think some people got it right: to abolish the collateral effects of abortion and the collateral effect of banning radically abortion the scheme is this: it should be legal but never used.
Because if it is legal women have a lot more freedom, a free man level freedom, the same as men, but if it is used… both women and the men or personnel involved may end up like Bryan in the movie, even only for nightmares without counting hell.
When abortion was illegal women in the name of the danger of getting pregnant whether for their personal sin or for rape they were standardly locked at home, often they couldn’t even go to the high school and even in households where the brothers went to College, I witnessed it among elderly people when I was a kid and that generation was still alive: girls went only to the primary school and their brothers were paid college, the best preparatory high schools, University etc. it was all about “What if…” from “What if you give in temptation and do it” to “You don’t do it, of course you don’t, you’re a good girl, but what if they rape you” “What if they don’t rape you and you are innocent but people talk and think badly of you, no one marries you for bad reputation… and you remain a burden on the household of your brother…”.
Well, some women under this scheme of “What if…” were forced to marry “not to be a burden on the household” and to make a lot of children with a man they never chose like their body didn’t belong to them, even less their life or their decisions, you’re a burden, what if… I think the squaring off of the circle was that, a Catholic Lady said that: we have to keep it legal, but it must not be used. Actually she meant it has to be kept legal even only not to relapse to the fifties.
